Located close to Cambridge, I offer one-to-one counselling for adults and young people both virtually and face-to-face. I am trained in a number of different counselling approaches and focus on each client as an individual. My experience includes, but is not limited to, the following presenting issues:

I am a fully qualified and registered Counsellor with training and experience in various counselling techniques which I draw upon as well as incorporating creativity and other various tools into how I work, very much seeing each client as unique.

I am trained in Integrative Counselling. As the name suggests this is a combined approach that brings together different elements of counselling therapies rather than a single approach being used in all situations. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and specifically Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) which focuses on identifying unhealthy beliefs and changing irrational beliefs into more rational ones. For some clients Logic-Based Therapy (LBT) a form of philosophical counselling, could provide an appropriate and relatable fit, in which I am also qualified .

I am based closed to Cambridge in South Cambridgeshire (England) and work in both English and Spanish. I have experience in working with both adults and adolescents, those with Asperger syndrome, with traumas, relationship issues, work related problems and more and I work with clients all around the world.

I am also a fully qualified Teacher and enjoyed a full-time career in teaching before training as a Counsellor (although I do continue to teach part time as well as offer counselling within schools). Prior to teaching I worked in the private sector, including as an Executive Assistant to a Director of a Mulit-national Corporation.

I offer both face-to-face and virtual counselling via Zoom, FaceTime, Skype etc. in English or Spanish. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental, safe and supportive space designed to help you with any presenting issues and to highlight any unhelpful thoughts, attitudes or personal rules you have, that may be keeping you 'stuck' and causing your personal discomfort. I offer an initial consultation free of charge to help understand your needs and to see if there is a good fit.

The approaches I use include Integrative Counselling, a talking therapy that recognises people are different and I apply different techniques and tools to tailor any treatment to individual needs. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and logic-based philosophical counselling (LBT). With my clients at times I also use different tools, including the use of a sand tray, art therapy, clay, shells, toys and also Virtual Reality, allowing clients the freedom to explore within the safety of our confidential sessions.

Each session I offer is 50 minutes in length. Due to the current Covid-19 situation I am not offering face-to-face sessions at this time, so all sessions are currently delivered online or over the phone. I charge £50 per session and payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card prior to the session. I reserve the right to charge for missed sessions and sessions cancelled without 24 hours' notice.

Therapy is not always a straight-line process and can feel quite difficult and challenging at times which can all be part of the process.

If after our initial consultation you wish to proceed, before our first session I will give you an 'Agreement' document that explains how we work, levels of confidentiality we work with and how any personal data might be held and used. Anything raised during our sessions will remain confidential (with possible exceptions that we would discuss where there are legal or safeguarding issues). 

In our first session we will work together to carry out an initial assessment and set-up goals for the therapy, agree the approach we will be using and also consider the possible number of sessions and a plan for each where appropriate.
